About Me

I am currently a senior research fellow at the University of Exeter as a Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 research fellow. I have been funded to lead MethaneMIP, a model intercomparison project to investigate the near-term climate benefits of methane mitigation. I have recently moved back to Exeter following a postdoctoral scholar position at UC Santa Cruz working with Professor Nicole Feldl on using idealised climate models to understand polar amplification and sea ice loss in an idealised configuration of CESM2. I was previously a postdoctoral scholar working with Professor Ian Eisenman at Scripps Institute of Oceanography and Professor Till Wagner at University of North Carolina Wilmington on giant tabular icebergs, Arctic Amplification and sea ice loss. I completed my PhD at Columbia University working with Professor Lorenzo Polvani. My research interests include understanding the effects of projected sea ice loss, internal climate variability and the effects of stratospheric ozone depletion

Teaching and volunteering are very important in my life. I taught a science class for inmates at Riker's Island prison with PEI and also loved working with ReadAhead in Harlem. I was a Lead Teaching Fellow for the Columbia Centre for Teaching and Learning and involved in teaching climate science with Columbia Science Honours Programme.

In my spare time I am an avid Grecian (Exeter City supporter) and Gooner (Arsenal supporter). I love travel, running, photography and am currently learning Chinese (我的中文不好).
